How long you can stay
Your visa can last for up to 5 years before you need to extend it. You’ll need to apply to extend or update your visa when it expires or if you change jobs or employer.
After 5 years of residence in the United Kingdom you can apply for ILR (Settlement).
After 12 months of having Settlement, you will be entitled to apply for British Citizenship.
How long it takes to get a Health and Care Worker Visa
The earliest you can apply is 3 months before you travel. But due to the corona virus, you will be allowed to apply for this in the UK whilst you are here.
You should get a decision on your visa within 3 weeks when you apply from outside the UK, it may take a little longer in the UK due to the current circumstances.
